Jessica Lee Sanders is a narrative contemporary artist based

out of Silverlake in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from Upstate NY,

she moved to LA in search of culture, adventure, and art.

Although she is self-taught, Jessica has studied with artists such as Casey Baugh, Ignat Ignatov, Nick Runge, Zin Lim, John Brosio, and Regina Lyubovnaya.

Artist Statement: My work is charged by emotions. Everyone is going through something. I aim to portray the internal struggle of living in society and unveil repressed sentiments that people are resistant to share. The strong emotional content of my portraits and dramatic use of light & shadow create contemporary statements on the human condition.
